MotoGP logo W250A never before experienced scenario by venue guardians Sepang International Circuit (SIC) – all tickets for all categories in the 25th edition of the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix were sold out!

The 3-day extravaganza during the penultimate race of the 2015 MotoGP WorldChampionship did not fail to live up to fan expectations as drama and excitement both on and off the track kept fans enthralled.

Spectator numbers hit an all-time high with 150,563 seats filled over 3 days, including 88,832 fans witnessing the adrenaline fuelled finale yesterday (Sunday, 25 October).

“There were so many unforeseen factors that were against us – the weakening ringgit and the bad haze situation – that we did not even begin to imagine a sold-out event,” said Dato’ Razlan Razali, Chief Executive Officer of SIC. “Though sales were brisk, we were worried that the adverse weather conditions would deter fans from coming down to Sepang to experience the thrills and spills live – this is the best silver anniversary gift we could have hoped for,” he added.

Off the track, vendors that participated in the Mega MotoGP Carnival 2015 also experienced amazing returns with fans turning up as early as 11am to soak in the MotoGP fever. Shell, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Ducati, Naza, Yamaha, Drive M7, BMW Motorrad, KTM, Motul, Repsol, GoPro, Tissot, Pos Malaysia, Watson’s, Proto Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia were amongst participating vendors taking up the carnival’s 108 booths this year.
