Riding a Honda CBR250, Khairul Anwar crossed the finishing line a mere 0.582 seconds after Fifi in 19 minutes 19.636 seconds to pick up 20 championship points to take him to second overall with a total haul of 89 points.

Ran together with the Open 250 riders, the MGP3 class was topped by for Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup (SAATC) rider and SIC Racing Moto3 Team new recruit, Muhammad Adam Norrodin, who completed the race in 19 minutes 05.175 seconds on his Honda NSF250 Moto3 machine.

Fellow SAATC riders and powered by Honda NSF20 machines as well, Muhammad Helmi Azman and Fakhrusy Syakirin took second and third placing respectively, with a total time of 19 minutes 05.315 seconds and 19 minutes 13.003 seconds.

In the Desmo Cup, Erwan Hasbullah Abdul Manan of Team Project X topped Class A; winning the interrupted contest, which was twice red-flagged race. Class B was topped by Syamsul Baktiar Esa of RND Plus Racing Team.

Champion-elect Steve Martin continued to set the benchmark in the Superstock Championship as the British rider set the fastest time in qualifying with a time of 2 minutes 14.591 seconds on his Kawasaki ZX10R. Malaysian Hasnur Rizal Nur Sastra clocked the second fastest time on 2 minutes 17.001 seconds on his BMW S1000R.

With two more races and just a maximum of 50 points to go tomorrow, Martin leads the championship with a massive haul of 170 championship points; holding a 32-point advantage over Malaysian Ahmad Nashrul Baharuddin, who has 138 points.

Martin was also fastest in the Superbike Championship; clocking 2 minutes 13.524s for his best lap time around the 5,543-meter track on his Kawasaki ZX10. He will be joined on the front row by India’s Rajini Krishnan and Finland’s Karhu Jouni Ensio for the opening race tomorrow.

Rajini, who is currently leading the Superbike Championship with 103 points, clocked 2 minutes 13.717 seconds for the second fastest time while Ensio had 2 minutes 15.822 seconds for his best lap.

The 600cc Supersport Championship will have Hazlanshah Mohd Nor on pole position for the opening race tomorrow. Currently second in the championship, Hazlan clocked 2 minutes 14.194 seconds; edging championship leader Muhammad Farid Badrul Hisam, who penned 2 minutes 14.315 seconds.
