The technical regulations, especially for the CP150 class of the 2017 PETRONAS FIM Asia Road Racing Championship will be reviewed before Round 5 resumes in MAEPS, Selangor after the Syawal break.

While changes in regulations mid-season are rare, this upcoming amendment had been previously agreed upon by the teams at the beginning of the year. In light of the technological enhancements available for the new CP150 class, data was required in order to tweak the regulations to ensure closer competition.

“The goal is always to enhance the level of competition and to continue improving the CP150 class. We hope that the new proposed rules, to be announced soon, will be accepted by all the teams,” said Ron Hogg, Director of Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd, the race promoters of the Malaysian Cub Prix.

Round 5 of the 2017 PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship will take place at MAEPS, Serdang in Selangor this July.
